1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Echos of Insight ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share accounts, create multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules, or impersonate others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Content & Conduct
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the service. You agree not to post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, or infringes on intellectual property rights. Content must represent your own knowledge or clearly attributed sources. Plagiarism, spam, and artificially manipulated ratings are prohibited and may result in account suspension.
5. Rating System & Currencies
Echo and Posto are platform currencies with no cash value outside the Platform. They cannot be purchased, sold, or transferred between users except through platform mechanics. The Platform reserves the right to adjust currency balances, earning rates, and costs at any time to maintain system health.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with notice. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Gift codes are non-transferable for cash and expire as stated.
7. Creator Pool & Prizes
Creator pool distributions and prizes are discretionary and based on platform profit. The Platform makes no guarantee of specific payouts. Prize eligibility requires compliance with all platform rules. The Platform reserves the right to modify pool percentages, prize amounts, and distribution methods.
8. Advertising
The Platform displays advertisements including category sponsorships and banner ads. Ad content is clearly labeled. The Platform is not responsible for third-party advertiser content or services.
9. Health & Professional Content Disclaimer
Content posted in health, medical, dental, legal, financial, or other professional categories is shared by community members for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice. Always consult a licensed professional before acting on any information found on the Platform. The Platform assumes no liability for actions taken based on user-posted content.
10. Intellectual Property
The Platform name, logo, design, and proprietary features are owned by Lava Jar LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform materials without permission. User-generated content remains the property of its creator.
11. Content Lifecycle
Insights that receive no community interaction for extended periods may be archived or removed per our content lifecycle policy. Authors are notified before archival and may revive content using Posto currency.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through settings. Upon deletion, your content may be removed or anonymized.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost data, lost revenue, or damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.
