1. Information we collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and handle. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment information through Stripe (we never store your credit card details directly).

Content: Insights you post, ratings you give, and comments you make are stored on our platform and visible to other users per your privacy settings.

Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics about how you use KnowBoar — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns. This helps us improve the platform.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve KnowBoar, process payments, calculate authority scores and profit shares, prevent abuse, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Resend — transactional email

Each service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. If we display ads, ad partners may use cookies per their own policies.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or delete your account at any time by contacting support@knowboar.com. Account deletion removes your profile and personal data. Published insights may be anonymized rather than deleted if they have community ratings.

7. Children

KnowBoar is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of KnowBoar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
